Agnes's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business, meeting the high demand in her area, to earn profits to build a biogas digester in the future.

Agnes's story

Agnes is a farmer from a remote village in the Bungoma area of Kenya. She has been actively involved in farming, and has never regretted it or looked back. She practices dairy and crop farming, selling her produce at the local market. Agnes has always wanted to take care of another dairy cow, but a lack of capital has prevented her from doing so. She is now seeking a loan to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business.

The cow she intends to buy is a breed that produces between 10-16 liters of milk a day. With this cow, she will produce more milk, which will translate into more income. Demand for dairy milk in her area is high, but the supply is low. So, through this loan, Agnes is going to have more milk and comfortably meet demand. Her vision is to keep even more dairy cows so that she will be able to build a bio digester, which would help her to save more energy.
