Maria Elba's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy medicines such as vitamins, injections, pills, syrups, creams, and other remedies to sell.

Maria Elba's story

María is a single mother who has been divorced from her husband for the past 20 years. She and her son live by themselves. They have been able to move forward by supporting one another. María does not have relatives who live abroad. She has a business in which she sells medicines as a traveling merchant, visiting the cantons near her home. María works Monday through Sunday, from 4:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. She says that she learned this business on her own and has been working for 26 years.

The loan she is requesting will be invested in the purchase of a variety of medicines such as vitamins, injections, pills, syrups, creams, and other remedies. This investment will help her to have a larger quantity of merchandise to sell so that she can generate more income.

Her aspiration is to have a shop where she can sell her products so that she can stop selling as a traveling merchant. She also hopes to have better financial conditions so that she can transform her way of life and that of her family.
