Hello, Kiva community!

Meet Edith, a small holder farmer who was born in chronic poverty. In spite of the challenges she has faced, like failing to attend school, she still remains fearless.

With a clear insight of her purpose, she decided into venture into farming. Today, she attributes her success to her parents, who trained her in basic farming skills. On her farm, she rears cows, goats and poultry. She also grows different varieties of crops.

Edith is content with the farming way of life. She is an enterprising woman. Although she never had formal education, or formal employment, she has always worked hard on her farm and has always been able to provide her children and family with decent meals.

The Kerugoya area has favourable conditions for horticulture farming. That is why she is seeking a loan to buy seeds so that she can expand her horticulture farming.

Because of the good roads, a good climate, and a good transportation network, she is sure that she will reap maximum profits and be able to increase her business. Edith is very thankful in advance for your help and contribution.
