Serah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fish, local potatoes, rice, sausages, chicken wings and firewood for her cooked-food business.

Serah's story

Serah is a 35-year-old woman who is married with five children. She lives with her family in a community in Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands. She runs a business selling cooked rice, cassava and fish, chicken and sausages at the community school and at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for six years.

Serah has requested this loan to help her pay for additional fish, local potatoes, rice, sausages and chicken wings to increase her stocks and firewood for cooking. She plans to use her profits to support her family financially.

She joined SPBD in 2015 to gain access to financial services.
