Marina's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more used clothes to sell.

Marina's story

This is 50-year-old Marina. She is living together with her partner along with six children. Four of her children are currently attending school while living at home.

She is a businesswoman who sells used clothes. She describes herself as a hardworking businesswoman. She normally sells 11 hours each day. She has been running this business for the past 11 years. She has had no problem with her business.

To enhance the business, she applied for a loan from BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. The loan will be used to buy more used clothes to sell and increase her sales, volume, and profits. She often carries goods to her business site by car. She learned to sell from her oldest sister and started selling with her own savings. She likes her business because sales are good with more profits, and it also enables her to lead a better life.

In the future she would like to build a house. She says thanks for your support.
