Irene's story

Irene is a 31-year-old single mother of three children who attend school. She operates a boutique where she sells dresses, skirts, tops, and jewelry in the market in the town of Mbale, but she lives in Buyonjo, Uganda. Irene is grateful for her previous kiva loan that boosted her business. This gave birth to a larger clientele. However, the stock is low to meet all her customers' needs. She has applied for another loan of 1,500,000 UGX to buy more stock to take advantage of the ready market. She is confident that her sales will increase, as well as her income, thus making her financially able to provide for her children. Irene appreciates the continous support.
