Elizabeth is a 68-year-old mother from Chavakali. She supports six people in her family. She was a charcoal vendor in the past but she decided to change her business. She is a seller of dry maize, and she has been in this business ten years. She generates a monthly income of 20,000 KES.

This is her fifth loan with Vision Fund Kenya which she will use to purchase more stock of maize. The price in the market is low because of the harvest. She will store this maize for resale and sell it when the demand rises, which will help her make a profit that will enable her expand her business.
