Tecla's story

This is a Tecla, a mum with unconditional love for her family. She is a woman with a big heart, and her politeness and her love for farming exceed all limits. She is a wise farmer who is respected by her neighbours and fellow farmers as a mentor. She farms a small plot of land in Kitale, which is in the Western region of Kenya. For the past ten years, she has been involved in mixed farming, and she grows maize and vegetables. She also has dairy cows.

Although Tecla loves farming, the small profit she has made is not enough to save for her children’s education. She has always wanted to start a cereals business in her local market. She is requesting a loan to buy cereals.

She intends to buy different varieties of cereals, such as cow peas, maize, sorghum, rice, wheat, barley and millet, to resell in her local market. In her remote village, a cereals sale is one of the most profit-generating businesses, since the demand for cereals is always on the rise. Because of the good relationship she has with her neighbors, Tecla plans to increase her reach through proper marketing in her own village.

She plans to use the profits to pay tuition fees for her children. Lenders, kindly help this mother achieve her dreams with this loan, which will surely bring enormous changes to her life. She promises to not let you down.
