Kampala One Group's story

Paulo K. is 45, married, and has six children between the ages of 3 and 19. He has a business making maize flour that he has run successfully for the past 3 years, and which earns him a monthly profit of around $115. This will be Paulo’s third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to increase his stock of maize, and has paid them back successfully. Paulo hopes for a loan to buy additional maize for his milling business. Paulo will share this loan with his loan group, Kampala One, which has 19 members. The members of the group hold each other accountable for the loan. In the picture Paulo, in the blue shirt, is center front.
