Haseena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy raw embroidery materials such as thread, fancy cloth, sequins, and pearls of various colors, to have in stock for her embroidery business.

Haseena's story

Haseena is a 31-year-old lady, living with her spouse in the area of Muzaffargarh, Pakistan. Haseena has four children.

Haseena has been running an embroidery business for three years to meet household expenses. Her language is Punjabi, which she speaks with her family, and she speaks Urdu culturally and for her business. They live in their own house made of brick that has drinking water, electricity, and plumbing.

Haseena's embroidery business is very famous in the area, and that is the reason why her business runs well. Her business has increased.

Haseena wants to meet the demand for bridal dresses. That is why she wants to buy thread, fancy cloth, sequins, and pearls of various colors in advance so that she can have them in stock. She requires some capital to buy the desired items, but she does not have sufficient cash on hand.

The challenge Haseena is facing is to have sufficient capital to run the business and to be able to support her family in its present form.

Therefore, Haseena humbly requested a loan from BRAC Pakistan. With this loan, she will be able to buy the thread, fancy cloth, sequins, and pearls of various colors that she needs.

Haseena and her family will be thankful to Kiva, its lenders, and field partner, BRAC Pakistan, for helping her by funding this loan to improve their standard of living.
