Arpenik's story

Get to know Arpenik, an inspiring 20-year-old young agronomist from Arevshat village. She lives with her husband, parents-in-law and two-year-old lovely son, Nikol, whom you can see in the picture.

The area where they live is considered an underserved region, as earthquakes are a common thing there.

From early childhood Arpenik has been involved in agriculture, and has been in the business already for 10 years. This gave her a solid experience about the nature and right ways of treating it well, so that it gives good results. Along with her big and lovely family, she keeps a farm of cows, bulls, piglets and chickens. They also cultivate wheat, potatoes, carrots and beets. Aside from agriculture, her husband provides construction services in Yerevan. But the main income source is the sales of agricultural products. Despite difficulties related to infrastructure, Arpenik never stops craving new projects.

In order to develop the farm, the family decided to apply for financial assistance. They plan to expand the farm by one more bull, and purchase good quality forage to increase the productivity of the farm. This will assure better quality products and an access to a wider market.

Arpenik and her family believe that all these steps taken will boost the income from sales, and they will create better living conditions for their growing child.
