A loan helped A family owned plant nursery recover from hurricane maria's damages, and help rebuild our water recollect system to make our business more eco friendly and sustainable.
My name is David, I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, since a child I loved nature, and plants, I worked at a family small garden center for years, there I learned how to care for plants and how to grow them. After some years, I was able to get my own piece of land, where I grew al sorts of different ornamental plants for distribution. In 1998 after Hurricane Georges flooded parts of the island, I lost all my plants, and had to restart again, then I decided to open a smaller nursery near the metro area, and have a different vision, this time not only I will be selling plants, but I started giving out seminars on various topics on how to care for plants, from Bonsai, to Orchards, and everything in between. Spreading this knowledge for me is valuable because Plants help our eco system, and we need to help people understand their value and how to care for plants in these modern days. My mission is to help my community stay conscious about the value of plants, and hopefully have a positive impact.
