Saba's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy body sprays, battery cells, trimmers, and hair coloring dyes for her husband's cosmetics distribution business.

Saba's story

Saba is a 40-year-old married woman who lives with her spouse and five children. She appears in the photo with her husband.

Saba lives in the populated area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is very worried about her husband’s work because his income is very low and it is not enough for her to meet their household expenses. Her husband is a cosmetics distributor by profession. He purchases body sprays, battery cells, trimmers, and hair coloring dyes from wholesalers and then supplies them to retailers.

With the summer season approaching and the related demand, her husband wants to buy body sprays in large quantity, but he does not have enough cash on hand. Therefore Saba has requested a Kiva loan from its field partner, BRAC Pakistan, so that her husband can easily continue his cosmetics distribution business and earn income to support their family.

Saba wishes to educate her children in the future through high school, but it seems impossible on their current monthly income. She hopes that this loan will prove beneficial for her husband’s business and remove financial constraints for her family.

She is very grateful to Kiva and its field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
