Total loan: $750

Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan / Transportation

Shamim's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a new rickshaw body and replace seat covers for her family's transportation rickshaw services and to earn a greater income.

Shamim's story

Shamim is a 48-year-old married woman and the mother of one child living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Picture above is with her husband. Her financial condition is not good. Her husband has been driving a moto rickshaw (a type of three-wheeled rickshaw which consists of a motorbike) for many years. This rickshaw is being driven all over local roads and for small distances. Its body is made by polyester, which is not enough strong to bear jerks over roads. She wants to replace this with a new seat cover because it is currently totally destroyed. Also, the rickshaw body is needed to be replace because it rattles when drivings. That is the reason her husband wants to buy a new rickshaw body and seat cover for his moto rickshaw. Therefore, she has requested a loan, so that he could drive it easily and earn more profitable income for his entire family.
