Ruth's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to pay holiday fees for her daughter so that she can get extra classes.

Ruth's story

Ruth is a 33-year-old woman living on the outskirts of Jinja. She is married and has three children who all attend school.

Ruth is a tailor, a business which has been her main source of income for seven years. Her clients are mainly schools and women within her region. The money she earns supports the family since she is the sole bread winner of the family as her husband was laid off from work a few months back. With her many financial responsibilities, it is hard for Ruth to raise her children's school fees on time.

Ruth is grateful to Kiva lenders for her previous loan that she used to pay registration fees for her daughter in senior year six. She was able to report for her second term.

Ruth has applied for another loan of 1,000,000 UGX to pay the holiday fees for her daughter, so that she can get extra classes to compete with other students. Ruth is positive that this will improve her daughter's performance. She is grateful for the financial support that will enable her daughter to finish her advanced level. Her prayer is that her daughter can get government sponsorship for her university studies because she can not afford to pay for it.
