Nueva Chacaltaya Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy noodles, cooking oil and rice on a wholesale basis.

Nueva Chacaltaya Group's story

The “Nueva Chacaltaya” communal bank, as part of the Villa Tejada Agency, is made up of nine members, who are friends and neighbors in their community. It is led by a directive board, with Alejandra as President.

The loan they are taking out will benefit small microentrepreneurs such as the member Alejandra. Currently, she has a business selling food. She started her business with great effort several years ago.

The loan she is now requesting will be used to increase her capital by purchasing noodles, cooking oil and rice on a wholesale basis. She will buy these items from the wholesale vendors in the city of El Alto-La Paz, and later she will use them to prepare and sell food from her sales stand.

This way of working allows her to generate resources to support her family economically, since she is married and has four children. Her aspiration is to expand her business.
