The communal bank is made up of four enterprising women. Mayra's the coordinator. She's 24 years old and has worked for seven years buying and selling shoes.

She's in a relationship and has a six-year-old child. Her husband helps her in the business and her mother, with the shoe merchandise.

She's going to use the loan to buy platform sandals, flats, heels, and other shoes. Her goal is to keep her business.

With the previous loan she was able to rent a truck to transport her shoe merchandise.

Her associates: María, 52, sells fruit; Kennia, 30, buys and sells traditional outfits; and Jessenia, 27, has a shoe store.
