Reginah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase better machinery like a photocopier machine and cartridges.

Reginah's story

Reginah is 22 years old and lives in the town of Gaba in the Makindye region of Uganda. For the past 3 years, she has been working hard to manage her photography business where she takes customer pictures for a price.

To help expand her business, Reginah has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase better machinery like a photocopier machine and cartridges and will help her to generate greater profits and by expanding her business, her profits will increase. Reginah will be in a position to improve her standard of living, support her siblings and pay their respective school dues as well.

Reginah hopes that in the future she will be able to buy land and build a family house.

Reginah is a member of BRAC's Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program. In addition to microfinance loans, the program provides both a safe place for young Ugandan women to take part in group activities and a forum for life-skills training.
