Veronica's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped open a new building for the franchise in Hayward and hire two more people.

Veronica's story

My name is Veronica Navarro. I was born in Michoacan, Mexico. I come from a very tiny village with less than 100 people. All of the people are farmers and my father was one of them. One day he decided to immigrate to the United States for a shot at a better future. A year later he sent for my Mother and I and my two sisters. We settled our family in Oakland, CA, when I was 2 years old. In my second year of high school I became pregnant with my daughter. I was not able to continue with completing my high school education and I was very sad. 3 months after my daughter was born I went to work as a janitor for a nearby local hospital. I quickly learned the in's and out's of the job. I started my own business two years ago to support my daughter. Last year I was involved in a car accident that has caused me to have 3 back surgeries yet I still find a way to work because I need to support my daughter.
