Ana Marlene's story

Ana is 30 years old. She is married and has two children who are still in school. Her husband works in agriculture.

Ana makes a living through a business fattening pigs to sell in an area of El Playon, a community that lacks basic services. Ana also knows a little about sewing and tailoring. This allows her to make additional income for the needs of her home.

Ana joined the Vision Fund Ecuador bank in 2009. She has received some loans which she has paid off in full. She wants to expand her pig business. She is seeking a loan to invest in the purchase of pigs, commercial food, potatoes, vitamins and dewormers. This will allow Ana to continue raising and selling pigs, and will improve her earnings so she can improve her living conditions and those of her humble family.
