A loan helped buy seeds and fertilizer.

Rosas De Belen Group's story

The Rosas de Belen Community Bank is part of the Copacabana Agency. There are eight women in the group, all of whom are friends and neighbours. A board of directors overseas the group; Sra. Hilda is secretary.

The loan will benefit small business owners like Hilda. At the moment she runs a business selling potatoes. She started it ten years ago on her own initiative.

The loan she is now seeking will be used to buy seeds and fertilizer which she will obtain from suppliers in her community. Afterwards she will use the money as part of the production process. Hilda's work allows her to generate an income to help her family financially since she is married and has four children. Her hopes are to increase production and to see her children get good jobs.
