Pa Khoang 53 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fry (small fish) and repair the fish pond.

Pa Khoang 53 Group's story

Mrs. Danh, 35, is a Thai ethnic lady who has been married and has three children: one girl who is 15 years old and in grade 10, one girl who is 13 years old and in grade 8 and the youngest girl who is only one-year-old. She lives with her mother-in-law, her husband and children in a Thai ethnic traditional stilt house in a small village where people mainly rely on agricultural production to earn a living. Like other villagers, Mrs. Danh and her husband work very hard at farming and animal husbandry with plenty of activities such as growing rice, cassava, raising pigs, chicken, and fish buffalo. Sometimes her husband has to work for another local employer to earn a small wage for the family.

Danh has taken out a loan from Anh Chi Em Program to have enough money to buy fry (small fish) and repair her fish pond. She hopes that the fish will help to improve productivity and yield. Mrs. Danh dreams of a more abundant life for her family and a bright future for her children. In the picture, she stands first from the right.
