A loan helped to buy fertilizer and pesticides.
Rosyme's story
Rosyme and her husband own a farm where they grow rice plants. They have earned a living through this livelihood for many years. Their harvested rice (as shown in the picture, a sack of rice) will be sold to the merchants to have enough money for their expenses. The rest will be serving as their food. Meanwhile, Rosyme runs a tailoring shop for additional income. This couple is very determined to reach their goal on improving their livelihood. They have children who are now in their adult ages.
Now Rosyme is asking for a loan of PHP 12,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy fertilizer and pesticides. This loan will be a great help for them to have a bountiful harvest.
