Dulamsuren's story

O. Dulamsuren is 52 years old and lives with her husband in Uvurkhangai province in central Mongolia. She and her husband live in a ger, which is a traditional Mongolian nomadic housing tent. She operates a dairy products trading business in her town. She purchases dairy products locally from herders in the surrounding countryside, and transports them back to her town to sell. Dulamsuren started her business in 2008, after previously managing several different businesses over the years. She has worked hard and has built a stable operation over the last two years. She attributes her success to her good accounting skills and reasonable prices. Dulamsuren is looking toward the future and says, "I hope to expand my business and own my own shop in the future." She is requesting a 2,000,000 tugrug (~1400 USD) loan to increase her inventory so that she has plenty to sell when supplies get short this winter.
