A loan helped to buy feed for her chickens and increase her peanut stocks.

Kuzama Group's story

Florence is a passionate, hardworking woman. She is a member of the Kuzama Group, which stays in Southlea Park, a suburb of Harare. Florence is a caring mother of three children. Florence’s husband works at a local service station.

Florence joined Thrive when she was supplying chickens to local butcheries. She managed to use her profits to start a peanut butter business, and she restocks her peanuts from rural areas and then processes the peanuts at home. Florence managed to buy a peanut butter making machine, which resulted in higher profits. She is still running the two businesses together.

Florence joined three other members from her community to approach Thrive for further financial assistance. Florence intends to use her share of the loan to buy feeds for her chickens and increase her peanut stocks. Florence values education, and she intends to use her business profits to pay school fees for her children.
