Esther's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more fish and lappa to sell.

Esther's story

Esther is a 40-year-old business woman. She is married. She has two children who are 5 and 10. Both of her children are presently attending school while living at home. Esther had never been to school.

She has been involved in a business which sells fish and lappa (wrappers). She has been in this business for the past 15 years without any problem. She describes herself as a hard working business woman that sells 15 hours on a daily basis.

To increase her business, she asked for a loan with BRAC Liberia. The loan will be used to buy more fish and lappa to sell and expand the business. She carries her goods to her business site by car. Her mother taught her the business and she started selling with her own savings.

She likes her business because it helps her take care of her family. In the future, she would like to build a house. She said thanks for your support.
