Carmen Cecilia's story
The city of Portoviejo, which was affected by the earthquake of April 16th, 2016, is a town rich in agricultural production, including tropical fruits and vegetables for internal consumption. Carmen is 35 years old, is married, and she has two children ages 18 and 16 who study in high school. Her husband is a locksmith. They live in their own home. Carmen, along with a friend, prepares various meals from Monday through Friday. She owns her own lunch locale. They begin at 8:30am and work until 3pm or until they sell all the food that has been prepared. They also offer home delivery services. They have been working in this field for one year. With this new loan she will buy chairs, tables, dishes, glasses, and food products for making meals. Her dream is to have a modern restaurant in order to satisfy the needs of her customers.
