A loan helped to restock winter clothes.

Rufaro 2 Group's story

Running a successful business requires commitment, dedication, and time management. Sharon, a hardworking widow with two children, has managed to balance it all against the odds. Sharon is currently staying at her parents’ house in Budiriro, Harare. She is a member of the Rufaro 2 group. Sharon is a cross border trader and she runs a flea market in Budiriro. She restocks from Zambia on a monthly basis and sometimes diversifies her business to bale wholesaling.

In 2014, Sharon and other ladies from her area joined Thrive, and she is grateful for the financial assistance she has been getting. Just like any other ambitious business person, Sharon had the desire to further grow her business, which will result in an increase in her market share and profits.

Since the winter season is coming to an end, Sharon intends to start restocking summer clothing. She approached Thrive for further financial assistance with her other group member and hopes her portion of the loan will enable her to restock winter clothes. As any caring mother would do, Sharon will channel most of her profits in paying school fees for her child.
