Habibu's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to gain access to cost efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for maize cultivation.

Habibu's Group's story

Habibu is 64 years old and has 4 children. He has been a farmer for more than 20 years and is always said to be a very experienced farmer. Even though he is the only one featured in the above picture, he is actually representing his group formed by 7 farmers in Iringa District, Tanzania.

Habibu started working alongside One Acre Fund a few years ago, in 2013, and decided to do so because he wanted to get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds. Since then, he has seen his life improve; especially in the sense that he has been able to save more money ever since. This year he decided to represent his group because he wanted to spread the story of One Acre Fund farmers.

Habibu’s Group will receive farming inputs to plant a total of 5.5 acres of land.
