Mylin's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to pay for labor costs, buy a fishing net as well as materials like plywood, nails, boat glue, and lumber to repair their fishing boat.

Mylin's story

Mylin lives a simple a life with her family in the town of Concepcion, Iloilo. She and her husband earn a living through fishing. They have been doing this for many years, which has helped support their 6-year-old child.

Now, Mylin is requesting a loan through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI, which is a non-profit microfinance organization in the Philippines. With this loan, they will pay for labor costs, buy a fishing net, and materials to repair their fishing boat like plywood, nails, boat glue, and lumber.

That way, she and her husband will be able to use their fishing boat to help them improve their catch and increase their earnings to have a better living.

Mylin dreams that her child will finish his/her studies in the near future.
