A loan helped to buy pesticides and fertilizers, and to pay the labor hiring cost for her paddy (rice) farm.

Kyin's Group's story

The featured borrower Ngwe, is a 38-year-old farmer who lives in a village in Twantay Township. She has five family members, and her children are studying in middle school. She grows paddy (rice) on fifteen acres of land and has about ten years of experience in this industry.

Ngwe chooses the farming business as the way of living because of her expertise and she is happy to be a farmer. The yield of her farm is over 500 baskets per year. She produces paddy which she sells from her farm to brokers at once, after harvesting. She is asking for a loan to buy pesticides and fertilizers, and to pay the labor hiring cost for her paddy (rice) farm.

She uses her income for family expenses and saves regularly to reinvest the earnings in her business. She actively participates in the social and religious affairs of her village. She would like to support more of her children’s education, which is why she would like her children to graduate.

She wants to say thank you to the lenders for supporting farmers like her family.
