Nageena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a new rickshaw body and seat covers and maintain a few engine parts for her family's rickshaw transportation business.

Nageena's story

Nageena is a 35-year-old woman living with her three children and spouse in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is pictured with her husband. She has been stitching clothes at home to support her husband and earn a reasonable income.

Her husband has been driving a moto rickshaw for many years. With the help of savings he has purchased a used moto rickshaw. But the rickshaw body and engine parts (ring, piston, and head) are not working properly and the seat covers need replacing. He wants to start driving it now but he does not have enough cash to buy a new body, maintain the engine parts and replace the seat covers. Therefore, Nageena requested a loan for her husband so that he can do these things and be able to drive the rickshaw smoothly.

She thanks Kiva and field partner BRAC Pakistan.
