Gladys's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farm inputs to improve production, and through the increased profits, pay tuition fees for her children.

Gladys's story

Hello, Kiva Community! Meet Gladys. She is a mother of lovely children who has been practicing agriculture for the last nine years. Because of the immense knowledge she has about farming, she commands a lot of respect among other farmers and is viewed as a mentor in her village. Gladys lives in Nkubu with her husband and children. Her primary income sources are eggs and milk, and she engages in some personal business to supplement her meager income.

Gladys enjoys generating income out of the products from her own farm. She loves farming and she is aiming at improving the quality of her crops. Before joining Juhudi Kilimo, Gladys could not access loans from banks, since she is a woman and a smallholder farmer. She joined Juhudi Kilimo and learned about saving and various agribusiness enterprises. She also got to learn about Kiva.

Gladys is seeking a loan to purchase farm inputs (fertilizers and certified seeds). With your loan, it will make her farm activities much easier. This will boost her income and enable her to pay school fees for her children.

Gladys waits for your kindness. She is very thankful in advance for your understanding and support.
