El Viñedo Group's story

Dona Ceferina is 57 years old, single with one son and lives by herself in the municipality of Gracias, Lempira. She has always made her living by farming and has had her own coffee, corn and bean crops for more that 18 and a half years. She sells her harvest in the local market. Her crops are grown on her own land and are her main source of income.

She is requesting this loan as a group loan to buy fertilizer and compost and to pay labor costs for clean up to give her coffee crop a good start. Her goal is to be well known in the region and to offer higher quality products to her customers. The group she belongs to is called El Vinedo and is made up of four members who all make their living farming and are well known in their community. They are requesting a total loan of 49,000.00 Lempiras to improve their crops.
