Roseline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a biodigester to save money and pay for her children's education.

Roseline's story

Roseline is an ambitious farmer and businesswoman. She lives in Sotik with her family and wants to buy a Sistema Biobolsa biodigester in order to save time and money, to invest in her business and to pay for her five kids’ education.

Roseline spends too much time chopping wood and then starting the fire to prepare breakfast. With her Sistema Biobolsa biodigester, she will transform her cows’ manure into renewable energy (biogas). Roseline will be able to cook breakfast in her biogas stove every morning for her kids and get them ready for school on time so she can work to expand her local business.

As she starts putting the animal waste into the biodigester, bacteria will convert into both biogas for cooking and nutrient-rich fertilizer that Roseline will use on her corn field. All of this will enable her to increase her yield to eat healthier and improve her life.

This loan represents 64% of the full price of the biodigester; the remaining part was covered by a cash down payment and a government subsidy.
