Lidya's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a biodigester to power her farm with biogas and stop cutting trees.

Lidya's story

Lidya is worried about the bad impact chemical fertilizers have on the quality of her vegetables. Moreover, she is conscious that fossil fuels are an excessive waste of money that she could invest in production or dedicate to the well-being of her family.

She decided to purchase a biodigester that will considerably reduce her carbon footprint, transforming her 4 cows' manure into renewable energy and biofertilizer to augment considerably higher yields.

Having an organic farm is an added value for selling. It gives farmers a label of ensuring fresh and healthy products.

This loan represents 62% of the full price of the biodigester; the remaining part was covered by a cash down payment and a government subsidy.
