Victoria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more bread, rice, drinks, oil, flour and sugar to sell.

Victoria's story

Greeting from Liberia. This is 48-year-old Victoria. She is a widow. She has nine children. The ages of her children are 6 through 30. Eight of her children are currently in school while living at home.

She runs a business which sells bread, rice, drinks, oil, flour and sugar. She has been involved in this business for the past 20 years. She has had no problems with her business. She attended school up to 7th grade. She describes herself as a hardworking business woman that sells 10 hours per day.

To get the most out of her business, she applied for a loan with BRAC Liberia. The loan will be used to buy more bread, rice, drinks, oil, flour and sugar to sell. Victoria says the extra income from this loan will help her expand the business.

She often uses a car or motorbike to transport her goods to her business site. She learned the trade from her mother and started selling with her own savings. She likes her business because sales are great and she earns more profit.

In the future, she would like to build a house. She says thanks for your support.
