Unión De Mujeres En Desarrollo 4 Group's story

Sauveur is part of the group “Unión de Mujeres en Desarrollo 4”. The groups that are established in the communities where Esperanza serves are composed of 20% men. Like many others from his homeland, Sauveur is a Haitian immigrant who moved to the Dominican Republic 35 years ago in search of a better life. In this town, the main jobs are in the Free Trade areas such as public transportation drivers and cargo drivers, as well as in trade and agriculture.

Sauveur sells clothes, especially trousers. He wants to continue growing his business, so he is taking his fourth loan with Esperanza. Sauveur will use the proceeds to buy clothes, especially trousers, to sell as a street vendor and from his house. This will enable him to maintain his business and secure new customers. He enjoys running his business. Sauveur has been in business for approximately 15 years.

The group “Unión de Mujeres en Desarrollo 4” is grateful for the loan, which will create more opportunities for their businesses and their families, thanks to the lenders.
