but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 10 sacks of onions and garlic.

Tujiunge Pamoja Group's story

Josephine is a merchant, president of the Tujiunge Pamoja group, and client of the micro-finance institution Hekima. She is 47 years old and has sold onions and garlic in the town market for 20 years. She received initial financing from her husband.

[With her loan] she is going to buy 10 sacks of onions and garlic to strengthen her business and supply her customers with fresh vegetables, so that she can make a profit to cover her basic needs.

Josephine wishes to become an entrepreneur who supplies onions to large restaurants. She also wants to feed and educate her children.

Finally, she wants to thank Hekima and their partners for their support to entrepreneurs who lack access to banking services.

As a note, this group has already demonstrated good credit management. For each cycle, they consolidate to access significant amounts of credit.
