A loan helped to buy fertilizers to increase her potato and bean yield.

Munara's story

Munara is 60 years old, married, has a daughter and 2 sons. Munara has a specialized medical education and works as a nurse at physio room in the hospital.

To provide an additional income to the family, Munara has been engaged in animal husbandry and crop farming since 1997 having started with a purchase of one calf. Thanks to her hard work and her husband's and younger son's help with the farm, her farm currently has 3 cows, a horse and 5 hectares of irrigated land where she grows beans, potatoes and hay.

With the goal to develop her farm further, Munara applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS) to buy fertilizers in order to increase her potato and bean yield. The profits from the loan will help Munara improve her family's living conditions and support her children financially.
