David's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped pay for marketing and advertising expenses (e.g. increase reach, ads in Facebook and Youtube), increase social presence and engagement, and ramp up production.
My name is David Yeh and I am the sole proprietor of Bay Yay Gadgets, founded in San Jose, CA in 2017. I immigrated to Houston from Taiwan with my family after my father passed away. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (hook'em horns) in electrical engineeering (BSEE) in 2006, and relocated to the Bay Area to be with family in 2010. After my father passed, my mother decided to give my sisters and I a fresh start and new opportunities in America. Though it was difficult adapting to a new country and language, a positive attribute of being an immigrant is that you will often be able to view issues with a second perspective. After eight years in the semiconductor industry, recently I have made a small career change to optical telecommunications. I believe the jobs I had performed, the skills I had gained up until this point, absorbing the wisdom from coworkers in different positions (e.g. marketing, management, etc.) were necessary to ignite my entrepreneurial spirit. In the future I wish to continue to create products that provide convenience for people, earn a healthy margin, and have fun in the process.
