A loan helped to purchase a greater quantity and variety of groceries.

Pamela's story

Pamela is a 20-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Hurungwe district in Zimbabwe. She runs her own grocery business.

Pamela is requesting a Kiva loan in order to purchase a greater quantity and variety of groceries. She plans to use the profit she earns to go to university.

Pamela will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a Camfed Transition Guide, leading sessions in life skills with out-of-school girls in her community, covering financial education, sexual and reproductive health, and entrepreneurial skills.
