Katty Milagros's story
Katty Milagros, 30, is a member of the "10 de Agosto II" communal bank, which is in the Tarapoto district, San Martín province, San Martín department. She is in a common-law relationship and has two children, both of whom are students and still dependent on her. They are both her greatest pride and the reason to continue working. Katty Milagros is a young, hard-working woman who is very happy with the work she does. She sells beauty products of the Avon and Esika brands. With this line of work she was able to little by little have some savings and to generate her own capital. She is currently continuing with this work and she tells us that all is going well. She has regular customers who know her and place orders from her catalogues monthly which she, herself, goes out every afternoon to show. With this 1000 sol loan she will buy stock items like perfumes for women and men, creams, powders, compacts, lipsticks, nail polish. Katty, with her maturity, is an example for many women who want to start their own business and who, through perseverance, manage to reach their goals. She is very grateful to the Manuela Ramos Movement for helping her start her own business and other women to grow as entrepreneurs.
