Paul's story

I was born and raised in Santa Maria, CA on a family cattle ranch established in 1901. I have very fond childhood memories of riding tractors, chasing cows and having many family Santa Maria style barbecues. I can still picture my dad and uncle's hovering over the barbecue pit. This is where I grew my love for barbecuing, experimenting with food sauces and seasonings. I was in the EMS field for 14 years before a leg injury ended that career. Towards the end of my EMS career is when I made my "accidental" hot sauce. After my injury I started experimenting with other hot sauces. With the encouragement of family and friends I decided to start a small business. Our biggest seller is the Santa Maria style seasoning (Wimpy Chimp Seasoning). It is all natural and no MSG. We have 10 products; 4 hot sauces, 3 barbecue sauces, 1 jelly and 2 seasonings. Me and my wife still live on our family ranch in a small cottage house, which use to be the Farm Bureau meeting house. My dream is to be the best and biggest cannery/co-packer for small businesses on the Central Coast. To have the best reputation with the state of California for being the cleanest, safest facility. To have three different locations. A catering facility, a cannery/co-packer and a commissary kitchen.
