Brandon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped me purchase the kitchen equipment I need to be able to produce better quality donuts so that my business can be more successful.
I moved from Cambodia to San Pedro, California when I was 12 years old. I completed high school and began working as a Janitor in an aerospace company. The owner of the company saw potential in me, so he later gave me a chance to become a designer for interior spaces of commercial planes. Some of my designs include designing cabinet spaces for the planes, flip tables for the passengers, sleeping compartments, and more. Government regulation became stricter; therefore I was no longer able to design such things because I needed higher education, and credentials to perform work. Once I left the aerospace company, I then went to work for Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes as a banquet coordinator where I currently still work full-time while also being a business owner. I always got inspire by my uncle to be entrepreneurial. Both my uncle and I were the survivors of the Cambodians genocide. My uncle came to the US and worked extremely hard to support the family; then he, later on, own a donut store. His story always inspired me to thrive harder every day. Even though there are many challenges that my wife and I are currently facing; we always smile and encourage each other to keep working harder to better support our family business.
