but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase yucca, fruits, milk, plantain chips, etc.

Amira Del Carmen's story

The city of Portoviejo was affected by the earthquake on April 16, 2016. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Amira is 56 years old. She is a widow and has three children, all of whom are independent adults. She lives in her own house. Amira maintains her business of preparing fast food. She prepares food on Saturday and Sundays from 7:00 am until 12:00 noon. She then sells her dishes of fish soup, ceviche, plantain chips, braised pork, and fruit shakes from 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm. The other days she makes clothing for individuals who come to her house, where she has a small workshop with homemade machines.

With this new loan, she will purchase fish, yucca, fruits, milk, plantain chips, etc. Her dream is to have a very large traditional restaurant.
