but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seeds.

Nueva Luna Ii Group's story

The "Nueva Luna II" communal bank is part of the Copacabana office at Pro Mujer. The group has nine members, all friends in the community. The group is led by a board of directors, where Maria sits as chairwoman.

Maria is 33 years old and currently has a business where she sells quinoa. She learned this trade five years ago from her mother.

This loan will be used in order to increase capital by buying seeds from local wholesalers. These seeds will be part of production. This work allows Maria to earn an income to support her family financially. Maria has a partner and three children. Her dreams are for her children to learn a profession and to own her own house.
