Charmaine's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to start her own business of selling snacks.

Charmaine's story

Charmaine is a 17-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and two children in Wedza District in Zimbabwe.

She is requesting a Kiva loan in order to start her own business of selling snacks. Charmaine plans to use the profit she earns to support her family and other vulnerable children in school.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a Camfed Learner Guide. As a Guide she will facilitate classes from Camfed’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, help to build children’s self-esteem, and motivate them to remain in school.
