Eunice's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy hybrid seeds and start horticulture farming on her farm to satisfy the ready market for horticulture products and to pull herself out of poverty.

Eunice's story

Eunice was born into a close-knit family that had very little material possessions. However, the challenges she went through did not affect her dream of wanting to be a successful woman. She was very keen to learn farming skills, being the only thing she inherited from her parents.

Eunice is hardworking and a go-getter. She has defied all the odds and has been engaged in farming for the past six years. Her primary sources of income are poultry, vegetables, crops and animal farming. She also earns some income through a personal business.

Eunice is content with the farming way of life. She is a very enterprising woman and, although she never had formal education or formal employment, she has always worked hard on her farm and has always been able to provide for her family.

The Bungoma area has favorable conditions for horticulture farming. Eunice is seeking a loan to buy hybrid seeds to start horticulture farming. Because of the good roads, a good climate and a good transportation network, she is sure that she will reap maximum profits.

Being a woman and accessing funds in Bungoma is very challenging. Nonetheless, Eunice feels relieved knowing there are institutions like Kiva. Eunice is reaching out to Kiva lenders for financial help!
