Gagawala Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to clear her children's school fees.

Gagawala Group's story

In the outskirts of Kampala, there is a group called Gagawala Group. All the members in this group have different businesses with the common goal of poverty eradication.

Harriet, aged 39, is a married mother with 4 children who attend school. She chairs the group, a role she was given because of her demonstrated leadership skills. Harriet has a retail shop which has been her source of income for 9 years. This being her only source of income, sometimes she finds it hard to pay her children's school fees on time due to delayed payments from her customers.

She has therefore applied for a loan from UGAFODE to clear the remaining balance of her children's school fees so that they may be allowed to sit for their end of term exams without any disturbances, and to restock her business.

She is grateful for the financial support that will keep her children in school. Her dream is to see all her children graduate and become successful in the future.
